Each year, 15,000 American families suffer home fires associated with their clothes dryers. These fires are responsible for approximately 10 deaths, 310 injuries and $96,000,000 in property damage.
Fires can occur when lint builds up in the dryer or in the exhaust duct (the duct pipe that runs from your laundry room, inside your walls and terminates either through the roof or the side wall). Lint can block the flow of air, cause excessive build-up and can result in a fire in dryers and where they are located
No, not at this time. Cash or check only.
Usually the whole process can last anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour.
Yes. We cannot do our job if you or another member of the house is not present
1. Make sure the lint trap is clean either before or after a load.
2.Clean behind the washer/dryer.
3.Keep items off the top of your dryer to avoid clutter.
4.Make sure the transition hose behind your dryer isn’t “sandwiched”between your wall and dryer. This could cause massive air flow reduction and quicker lint build up.
5.Never have your washer or dryer running while you are not home or asleep. (This goes for your other appliances to avoid a fire).
6.Avoid putting garage rags stained with gasoline or motor oil and aprons, dish towels, and napkins stained with cooking oil. These items can ignite even if it’s been washed.
7.Also, it’s a good idea to place anything rubber or plastic (i.e. rubber bath mats) in the dryer. The extra lint these “fluffy” items lose can block your vent. It’s best to wash then dry them out on a line.
1.It takes more than an hour to do a full laundry load.
2.Lint is seen behind your dryer and on your dryer door.
3.Little or no lint buildup in your lint trap.
4.Your dryer becomes hot to the touch while running for about 5-10 minutes.
5.Clothes are damp/have a moldy smell after doing a load.
6.Your dryer stops running during a cycle.
1.The number one reason being this is a fire hazard.
2.Improper venting kills your dryer.
3.Dryer vent cleaning improves air quality in your home.
4.Reduces your energy bill.
5.Excess heat from poor venting ruins your clothes.
It is recommended to have your dryer vent cleaned out at least once a year.
Remove any and all items including clothing in and around the washer and dryer.
Both electric and gas.
