HOW LONG DOES DRYER VENT INSPECTION AND CLEANING TAKE?

Usually, the whole process can last anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour.

WHAT ARE SOME MEASURES I CAN TAKE TO PREVENT FIRE?

1. Make sure the lint trap is clean either before or after a load.

2. Clean behind the washer/dryer.

3. Keep items off the top of your dryer - remove clutter.

4. Make sure the transition hose behind your dryer is not sandwiched between your wall and dryer. This could cause massive air flow reduction and quicker lint build up.

5. Never have your washer or dryer running while you are not home or asleep..

6. Avoid keeping garage rags stained with gasoline or motor oil, aprons, dish towels, or napkins stained with cooking oil in the laundry room .

7. Also, it’s a good idea not to place anything rubber or plastic (i.e. rubber bath mats) in the dryer.
